az & mut: hanging gardens

made from a biological cotton, 'hanging gardens, are cloth 'hand bags' that are a good alternative to planting balcony plants and flowers. doubling as a fashion accessory, they simplify the transportation of greenery from the florist or nursery. they can easily be hung from balcony railings.

 

'pots teddy' A.& M.

made from a softer natural material, hence the name 'pots teddy', these vessels have been designed for outdoor use only. available in two sizes - the same as 'pots pli' - they come in two colors, natural or light.
 

'tutrix'

the form of 'tutrix' draws on that of a winter garden, crystalized by frost. the tutrices are shaped like branches, where each one can be sheafed into another, allowing them to accommodate and grow with the plant.

 

'pots pli' 

are also made from a 70% flax fiber that display a plaid. during the day the light filters through the walls of the containers displaying the woven pattern of the organic material. they are available in two sizes: small Ø 28 H 26 and big Ø 43 H 40, and can easily be used for use either indoors or outdoors.

Axis mundi: polyhedra

New york-based axis mundi has designed 'polyhedra', a cantilevering single-family residence built on the edge of the palisades cliff in new jersey. rising nearly straight up from the west side of the lower hudson river, the crystalline shaped dwelling provides a panoramic view of the new york city skyline.

 

 

Gable house

"gable house' by form / kouichi kimura architects is a single-storey dwelling in shiga, japan.located next to a busy arterial road, the design aims to subtract the noise and disruption from the street to facilitate a peaceful living space. a sense of openness and privacy is achieved through careful slicing and layering of wall elements.
